Artist's Description
Photograph - Digital Painting. Redo of a previous work. Image taken at Tuna Harbor, San Diego, California in 2013. This statue honors the many men and women that served their Country in a time of conflict. A very famous photograph depicting a sailor embracing a nurse was taken at the end of WW2 on VJ (Victory in Japan) Day and used on the front page of quite a few newspapers. Many years of war have finally concluded - another time in a very different America. Statues similar to this one have been built at various locations in the United States.
Featured in the fine arts groups "WHAT question mark" and "FAA Collectors Group". (Thank you editors!)
About Chuck Caramella
HI! And, THANK YOU for visiting my page. Chuck Caramella is an American fine art photographer based in the Southwest desert area of Arizona. His photographic expression was greatly influenced by growing up in this vast and quiet expansive desert. This quietness is reflected in much of his photographic imagery. He has both a Fine Art’s degree and a degree in engineering. Chuck studied photography under the tutelage of Louie Bernal who was an accomplished fine arts photographer in his own right. Chuck strives to share his concept of the creative process, by presenting his vision, through photographic images. He seeks to unite the visual process and the emotional elements we call feelings. Chuck is decisively quiet yet open to learning...
