Description
Photograph. Nose Art on a Bell P-63 Kingcobra fighter from the WW2 era. The P-63 was a fighter/bomber used mostly for air to ground combat. Many of the P-63's manufactured were destined for use by the Russian Military forces in WW2. In 1943 the P-63's were disallowed for further use, by the Russians, against the German military. Other P-63's saw service in the Pacific Theater. The P-63, by many accounts, was not a particularly successful combat aircraft.
